Description: Equipment and supplies using thermal technology to dispose of carcasses resulting from the response to a Foreign Animal Disease.

ImportantFeatures:

Operating Considerations: Ashes must be tested and proven free of the Foreign Animal Disease before removal from site, and before animals can be returned to the site.
Thermal carcass disposal process must comply with federal, state and local ordinances. Determination of disease exposure status must be overseen by animal health official.
Use must be consistent with the Foreign Animal Disease Preparedness and Response Plan (FADPReP)/National Animal Health Emergency Management System (NAHEMS).

Training Requirements: NIMS credentialed Animal Emergency Responders and determination by the Authority Having Jurisdiction.
