Detects Gamma only.
May be colorimetric cards or bubble technology.

Operating Considerations: Used to estimate total exposure from a specific incident. Not a substitute for personal dosimeters used in formal radiation monitoring programs. Not used to determine dose of record.
Shock sensitive.
Charging unit [battery operated & non-battery (piezoelectric)].
Some models can be difficult to read (e.g., low ambient light may make it difficult to discern colors on colorimetric cards).
Does not alarm - requires reading/interpretation by wearer.
