Previous SEL Number: 04MD-03-DISP

Description: Video display - assorted technologies including Plasma, LCD, LED, OLED, etc.

ImportantFeatures: The 15-Pin Video Graphics Array (VGA), now almost obsolete, is the analog standard for connecting displays/monitors to computers. While somr displays still have have this connector, newer digital connections such as Display Port and HDMI are the new standard and are strongly recommended. HDMI has the added advantage of incorporating audio on the same cable, thus minimizing the need for additional cables. A minimum of three HDMI connections are preferred for fixed location displays.

Operating Considerations: Plasma screens tend to have higher power consumption and produce more heat that other technologies.
LED and OLED displays may have greater contrast.
Check compatibility of cables/connectors with planned video sources.
