Description: Drugs used to treat the agent of a Foreign Animal Disease with likely prospects for cure.

ImportantFeatures: Use of controlled substances and drugs palliative treatment of animals infected with a Foreign Animal Disease is not allowed.

Operating Considerations: Drug use must be recorded for each animal. Administration of drugs must be overseen by a designated official veterinarian.
Recommendations must be consistent with the Foreign Animal Disease Preparedness and Response Plan (FADPReP)/National Animal Health Emergency Management System (NAHEMS).

Training Requirements: NIMS credentialed Animal Emergency Responders and determination by the Authority Having Jurisdiction.
