Description: Hand-carried patient transport devices.

ImportantFeatures: Stokes-type baskets considered in this category should be rugged and impact resistant; all surfaces and related accessories should be impervious to infectious fluids. Flotation options may be available for water rescue.

Operating Considerations: Consider interoperability with other medical equipment (backboards, splints, etc), and storage and transport requirements. Consider weight (capacity) rating of product, keeping in mind all types of patient sizes/weights, including pediatric or bariatric patients. Consider ease of decontamination.
