Operating Considerations: Devices should provide rapid analysis with minimal operator interface. Consider infection control and related maintenance; costs of strips (if required) and related supplies. Select products that self-calibrate or require minimal operator interface calibration, and utilize commercial over the counter batteries. Disposable items may require replacement during protracted incident.
