Description: Office software suite (spreadsheet, database, word processing and graphics presentation).

ImportantFeatures: Applications are closely integrated.
Collaboration capability is increasing. For online implementations such as Google and Office 365, simultaneous edit access to applications is possible.

Operating Considerations: Document interoperability is critical when moving between suites.
Integrated with e-mail and internet.
Consider applications that can still read/view items from other vendors (e.g., Microsoft Word being able to read a document created in Word Perfect, Google Apps, OpenOffice or LibreOffice - and vice versa).
Cloud-based options also exist such as "Microsoft Office 365" and "Google Apps for Work.
When installing/configuring office suites, ensure that all needed translation filters and conversion tools are selected for installation.
