Description: Video camera.

ImportantFeatures: Digital video recording with capacity for immediate or future playback.
Minimum resolution should be 1080p.
Intrinsically safe housing desirable.
Remote operation, including pan, tilt, zoom.
Water-resistant housing accessory desirable for hot-zone operations.

Operating Considerations: Consider decontamination potential.
Consider media requirement (HDD, etc.), interface (IP network, USB connect, wireless, etc.), resolution, battery life, image stabilization, low light operation.
Carefully check video format and file format (.mpg, .mp4, etc.) compatibility with machines that will be used for distribution/viewing (if possible, test before purchase).
Consider resolution; High Definition (HD) capability is now considered standard, with 4K UHD also widely available.
