Operating Considerations: Check processor speeds carefully. Comparison is not linear across differing processor sets, and there are wide performance variations across the same processor family, indicated by suffix information (e.g., Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 processor 155H).
Dual monitor configurations are becoming the norm for desktop installations. Ensure that the hardware and operating system are capable of supporting dual monitors, and consider procuring an extra monitor for increased effectiveness.
Check version of operating system delivered with device. Many less expensive desktops are delivered with "Home" versions of operating systems (as opposed to "Professional" versions, which generally offer more robust networking and device control). Check for operating system upgrade options.
Consider intended use of system. If the system is to be used primarily for computationally demanding applications (plume modeling, etc.) a minimum processor specification of an Intel i7 or I9 (or equivalent) and 32GB RAM is recommended.
