Description:
Portable hydraulic or pneumatic tools, power units, hoses, accessories, and attachments that generate the output forces or energy used to perform one or more of the functions of spreading, lifting, holding, crushing, pulling, or cutting for rescue operations. (Certified as compliant with the
NFPA
National Fire Protection Association
1936 requirements of
NFPA
National Fire Protection Association
1960).
ImportantFeatures:
Portable, operable by a single operator. Generally safer to use in areas of limited ventilation.
Operating Considerations:
Utilize appropriate
PPE
Personal Protective Equipment
for task.
Since the power source can be located in a different area, it may not exhaust at the site where the tool is used.
