Description: Temporary devices deployable by responders that create barriers to contain flooding or contaminated runoff from decontamination stations, including modular walls, cofferdams, and inflatables.

ImportantFeatures: Wide variety of products available, including inflatable or fillable dams, bags, and modular walls. Capacities range from shallow runoff control to flood diversion and containment.

Operating Considerations: Review likely deployment areas to ensure that the product being considered is suitable in terms of terrain and flood mitigation capacity (water volume and resistance to wave pressure). Consider requirements such as pressurized water source for water-inflatable products.
Consider personal protective equipment and decontamination/disposal requirements. Consider ease of deployment/assembly, particularly if being deployed by responders in PPE.

Training Requirements: Per manufacturer's specifications.
Initial Training: Moderate (1-2 days)
Sustainment Training: Minimal (<1 day)
